FIFA, in collaboration with the Football Association of Thailand and the Department of Physical Education, organized the FIFA For School event to train teachers from primary and secondary schools to enhance Thai youth's football skills. The event took place on May 14, 2567, at the High-Performance Center Bangkok Thonburi University. It aimed to impart football fundamentals through the FIFA For School app, aligning with FIFA's goal of disseminating knowledge to physical education teachers, who would then educate schoolchildren. The training, led by Niko Nhouvannasak and Antonio Buenaño Sánchez, FIFA's Football For School managers, spanned two days, covering theoretical principles and practical skill development activities for children, both individually and in groups.
This initiative represents a long-term project and collaboration between FIFA and the Football Association of Thailand to grassroots football development. Previous instances include an event held at the Chaloem Phra Kiat Stadium in Pathum Thani Province from January 20th to 22nd, 2566. Additionally, all participants in the training will pass on their knowledge from the FIFA For School program to over 200 children, alongside football legends and current Thai national athletes, during the FIFA Legacy Program (Football Woithout Boundaries) on May 17th at the Rajamangala National Stadium.
