On May 17th, 2567, at 16:30, Gianni Infantino, President of the International Football Federation (FIFA), along with Madame Pang, Nualphan Lamsam, President of the Football Association of Thailand, and Dr. Gongsak Yodmanee, Director-General of the Sports Authority of Thailand, convened.
Accompanied by Fifa Legends such as Cafu, Gilberto Silva, alongside both past and present Thailand national team players including Chanathip Songkrasin, Teerasil Dangda, Tanaboon Kesarat, Bodin Phala, Thitipan Puangchan, Teeratep Winothai, Piyapong Pue-on, Kanjana Sungngoen, and Nattakarn Chinwong, the FIFA Legacy Program event took place at Sports Authority of Thailand Football Stadium 1.
The FIFA Legacy Program is a project aimed at creating sustainable memorials in areas or locations where FIFA believes football can inspire children and youth. Through the Football for Schools initiative, FIFA Legends participate in playing football with children aged 4-14, totaling 200 individuals, both boys and girls. The program also involves 40 selected coaches from various schools. FIFA utilizes this platform to showcase its developmental guidelines, driving sustainable social change and addressing issues of inequality and youth empowerment where football can play a role.
At the same time, an award ceremony for certificates was also held, honoring Mr. Wasurat Saikrasin as the winner of the FIFA Legacy photo contest.
